is recorded by Lloyds shipbuilding returns. * The returns also show a reduction of 500,000 tons as compared

with the three months ended September 30 last year. The north-east coast of En gland suffered a decrease of -j 7 per cent., and the Clyde 28 percent. The world’s tonnage building amounts to 2.521,000 tons, of which ■W per cent, is building in Great Britain.
