MIDNIGHT COLLISION

CAR AND MOTOR-CYCLE MAN BADLY INJURED While returning home from Dixieland on his mo tor-cycle early this morning William Murray, of 36 Pompallier Terrace, Ponsonby, who is a member of the Dixieland dance band, collided with a motor-car and was badly injured. The accident occurred near Avondale and was caused by a mutual misunderstanding of signals. The driver of the car was Mr. C. H. Herdson, of Avondale. Mr. Murray was takeir in to the Auckland Hospital,, where nis condition is now regarded as serious. He was employed by the Unity Press, Limited, of Federal Street, as a compositor.
