BRADFORD TOPS The market has a better tone, but business is still scarce. f SYDNEY WOOL SALES HARDENING TENDENCY SYDNEY, Tuesday. At the Sydney wool sales to-day 12,085 bales were sold. Competition was vigorous. There was increased support from Yorkshire and the hardening tendency continued. Greasy Merino sold to 25ad. NEW SOUTH WALES FACTORIES Reed. 10.49 a.m. SYDNEY. To-day. The factories of New South Wales last year numbered 11,413, employing 148,958 persons, disclosing decreases of 416 and 2,664 respectively compared with the previous year. The clothing and textile works are the largest employers, followed by the metal trades. Only seven per cent, of the employees are juveniles.
