AUCKLAND EAST
MR. J. B. DONALD’S CAMPAIGN Mr. J. B. Donald, United Party candidate for Auckland East, addressed a meeting of electors in the Grafton Library Hall last evening, Mr. R. T. Michaels presiding. The chairman introduced the candidate as a man with a long business career and an association with the early firm of Donald and Edenborough. Mr. Donald said that the Minister of Lands had shown lack of vision, his policy in seven years having settled only 2,300 acres, while there were 13,000 less on the land than trefore the war. A vote of thanks with the speaker was carried.
