RIPE BANANAS SCARCE STEADY FRUIT DEMAND Ripe bananas were scarce today on the City Markets. Prices are high. A STEADY' interest is being shown in the fruit market and most lines are selling at firm rates. There was a slightly better inquiry to-day for local apples. Californian grapes are bringing good prices. Most lines of vegetables are in good supply, with large quantities of lettuce, cauliflower and cabbage. There is a keen demand.
