TAKAPUNA CRICKET CLUB

ANNUAL MEETING HELD At the annual meeting of the Takapuna Cricket Club, presided over by Mr. Minogue, the annual report stated that last season the club entered teams in the second, third and fourth grades of the Auckland Cricket Association, but owing to lack of support the two latter dropped out. The second grado team met with a fair measure of success and finished third in the competition. The following officers were elected: Patron, the Hon. E. W. Alison; president. Mr. J W. Williamson: vice-pre-sidents, Messrs. G. Sinclair, O. Moller, Bennett, D. M. Davidson, G. Malcolm, J. E. Close, L. G. Robinson, E. W. Mills, F. Hawes, A. Harris, M.P., R. H. Greville, E. Wilson, W. R. Wilson, L. L. Speedy, Dr. Baxter, B. Jury, G. Winston© jun.. C. H. KLingsford, A. J. Oborn, A. E. Alison, G Mills, A. M. Howden; secretary and treasurer, Mr. P. J. Melville; auditor, Mr. G. Cooper; management committee, captain,. vicecaptain, secretary and Mr. E. W. Mills. The appointment of the selection committee was deferred until after the first match. The secretary was appointed delegate to the Auckland Cricket Association. It was decided to enter one team in the Auckland Cricket Association’s competition for the coming season, in the second grade. TE AWAMUTU CLUB (From Ow Gun Correspondent) TE AWAMUTU, Sunday. At the annual meeting of the Te Awamutu Cricket Club, it was unanimously decided to affiliate with the Waipa Cricket Associtaion, but to ask for a separate competition, as the country teams also affiliating desire to commence play at about 11 a.m. and cease at 3.30 cr 4 p.m. There are prospects of sufficient town teams r o warrant having a separate competition. The following officers were elected: Patron. Mr. R. W. N. Lord; president, Mr. C. W. Rickit; vice-presidents, Messrs. R. M. W. Muir. H. de L. Peake, R. A. Coyne, K. C. Rickit, D. Brockett and C. Bowden; secretary, Mr. H. T. Haselden; treasurer, Mr. R. Lord, jun.: committee, Messrs. E. A. Clark, L. Shepherd. W. Marten, J. Philp, A. L*. Storey; club captain and coach, Mr. M.
