PARTY AT BISHOPSCOURT
ARCHBISHOP ENTERTAINS The sun shone brightly and warmly on Saturday afternoon when, as a break in the work of Synod. Archbishop Averill and Mrs. Averill gave a garden party at Bishopscourt. The garden, with its spring flowers, looked charming and most of the guests preferred to spend the afternoon there, either walking, playing croquet, or listening to the music of the string band. The guests were welcomed by Archbishop and Mrs. Averill and were introduced to Bishop and Mrs. WestWatson, of Christchurch. Later Miss Averill, helped by members of the Girls’ Diocesan Association, served afternoon tea.
