MONSON AND McINNES

BOXING AT TOWN HALL FINE BOUT PROMISED Tommy Mclnnes, of Scotland, and Ted Monson, middle-weight champion of Australia, meet in the return contest at the Auckland Town I-fall this evening over 15 rounds for a purse of £2OO. When the pair met in Auckland last month the crowd was treated to a rattling good fight, which was closely contested all the way. The decision went to Mclnnes on that occasion by virtue of his forcing the fight, and Monson is keen to reverse the verdict to-night. Mclnnes is equally keen to win, and another fine bout should be witnessed. The evening’s entertainment should be well up to standard as. in addition to the main professional contest a good grogramme of amateur bouts has been arranged.
