RUN NEXT SATURDAY MEETING OPENS TO-DAY The Caullield Cup meeting opens at Caulfield to-day, and will be continued on Wednesday and Saturday, the Cup being run on the final day. One of the most interesting events on to-day’s card is the Caulfield Guineas, one mile, in which Mollison is engaged, and it is pretty safe to assume that he will be a hot favourite. It will take a champion to down the son of Seremond. Hamulus ran well enough at Randwick to suggest that he may be a dangerous opponent, and then there is the brilliant Balmerino. A cable from Melbourne yesterday conveyed the following information: The horse Opera Queen arrived at Caulfield from Adelaide to-day, and will run in the Derby and the Oaks. M. McCarten is expected to ride Hynanna in the Caulfield Stakes, and Thurnbell on the first division of tomorrow’s welter. J.
