Consequently, our Tourist Traffic, although only in its infancy, is developing steadily and promises to become a valuable source of national income. The present insecurity of the licensee’s tenure does not encourage provision of the best possible hotel accommodation, so necessary to attract the tourist. The triennial poll is a bad enough check on the growth of our tourist industry. If prohibition were carried this profitable source of national revenue would be nipped in the bud.
