Brinsden, When he was appointed the chairman of the Parks and Reserves Committee of the Auckland City Council, He found himself faced with a deplorable shortage of playing areas. It remained for the l*te Mr. Brinsden to tackle the problem with vigorous energy and a keen sympathy for the encouragement of outdoor sport. Auckland sport as a whole will extend its sincere svmnathy to Mrs. Brinsden and family. _
