TJROVIDING the going is soft to- , morrow, one of the hardest horses to beat in the Spring Handicap will be Dalmeny. W. J. Tomkinson’s charge is in splendid shape and when it comes to racing in the heavy stuff, Dalmeny has few superiors. In this respect he resembles his brother, Dalnahine, and the pair have put up some splendid performances on soft tracks. Dalmeny’s efforts at Epsom in June last prove that there is no fallacy about this contention.
