RAIN QUENCHES FIRES
FEED AND FENCES DESTROYED Press Association. GISBORNE, To-day. tTEAVY rain yesterday quenched the scrub and log fires which have been raging in the district. An inspection of the properties affected reveals the fact that stock losses are much less severe than was expected. The loss in feed and fences, however, is considerable.
