DIED IN HARNESS

LINOTYPE OPERATOR FOR FIFTY YEARS Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday. A linotype operator, Mr. John Crawford, aged 74, employed at “The Press” newspaper office, fell from his chair while at his machine to-night and died half an hour later. A doctor was called, but attempts to restore him failed. Mr. Crawford joined tlTe service of “The Press” in IS7B and would have completed 50 years of night work in February next.
