MECHANICS’ DISPUTES SETTLED

Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, Monday. After sitting in committee to-day on the dispute between motor mechanics and their employers the Conciliation Council announced that agreement had been reached on almost all disputed clauses in the claims. Wages, hours and piece-work are among the items agreed to. Journeymen’s wages and hours are the same as have been observed during the past two years.
