TEMPERANCE LECTURER

MR. THOMAS C. DAY ARRIVAL BY MARAMA An interesting visitor by the Manama this morning was Mr. Thomas C. Day, a temperance lecturer, who will tour the Dominion for 10 weeks, lecturing on prohibition from the industrial standpoint. Mr. Day, who is financing his own tour, is lecturing in place of the Rev. R. B. S. Hammond, campaign director of tho N.S.W. Anti-Liquor League, Mr. Hammond being unable to make the trip owing to the pending Victorian campaign.

Mr. Day is a New Zealander by birth, though he has taken up permanent residence in Australia. His style of address is a combination of satire and humour, and he comes armed with the highest credentials from the Commonwealth.
