“THE POACHER” AT ROYAL
A comedy-drama played by the same stars who made the popular series, “The Collegians,” is now being shown at the Royal Theatre, Kingsland. This is “The Four Flusher,” in which Marion Nixon and George Dewis have the leading roles. The story commences when Andy Whittaker, an ambitious shoe clerk who has invented an unmarketed arch supporter, meets J une Allen on the street and pretends he is an important business man. She buys shoes from him that afternoon and later forgives him the deception. A powerful romance of the Alps filmed amid the beauty of the eternal snows, entitled “The Poacher,” will also be shown.
Jeaji Hersholt, star of “Jazz Mad,” the Universal 'picture, came to the United States from his native country Denmark, for the first time, as a representative of his Government at the San Francisco Exposition in 3 915. As Franz Housemann in “Jazz Mad,” he gives his greatest screen characterisation. Marian Nixon and George Dewis play featured roles in the picture.
