WOOL PRICES MAY DROP
ENGLISH BUYER’S OPINION
“It looks as if woo! is going to drop in price this se#3on. It has been too dear for market stability, and the use of artificial silk is increasing at Home.” Thus Mr. F. B. Clark, of Christchurch, who returned to New Zealand on the Niagara this morning after his usual business trip to England. Mr. Clark is a buyer for Francis Willey and Co., and a well-known figure at New Zealand wool auctions.
“The trade generally did badly out of last season’# buying,” he declared. “There was money lost, and this, together with the outlook generally, will have the effeet of lowering prices.”
