SAFE-BLOWERS FAIL

LOCK SHATTERED, BUT LEVERS HOLD * Press Association PALMERSTON N., To-day. In the early hours of this morning an unsuccessful attempt was .made to blow open a safe in the. office of the Manawatu Flour Milling Company. The explosive used inside the lock smashed it, but levers held the safe closed. The safe contained, in addition to cheques, a small amount in petty cash.
