RACING AT ELLERSLIE Supremacy Wins the Stakes THE three races postponed from Saturday were decided at j Ellerslie this afternoon in beautiful summer weather, there was a large crowd present, no charge being made for admission, and racing was conducted without interruption, ft was quite a well-mannered crowd as compared with Saturday. Following are the results;—

Morris . . 6 ” —Carl Idem, 8.5. R. Hall 7 Winner trailed by W. Stone, Te Awamutu. Won by two lengths, four lengths between second and third. Time, 1.1. Golden Measure was the only withdrawal from the Welcome Stakes, and Supremacy, the Avondale classic, wus made a hot favourite at a Limerick quotation. The Chief Ruler gelding carried £2,347 or nearly four times as much us Hunting Day £643, while best backed of the others were Clever £634 and First Money £537. At the start First Money backed out and was badly left. Supremacy and Hunting Day going out fast from Clever, Eaglet, Carl Idem and Ceremony. At the end of half a furlong the favourite half a length in front of Hunting Day, and was clear of him at the half mile, with Clever and Eaglet at intervals mid Ceremony and First Money following. Supremacy turned for home a length in front of Hunting Day, with Clever three lengths away, and Eaglet and First Money still well behind. At the furlong post Hunting Day made an effort, but Supremacy was never off the
bit to score by a couple of lengths. Eaglet finished well four lengths away, .and at three length intervals came Clever and First Money. Ceremony and Carl Idem were next. (Later Results will be found in Stop Press as they come to hand.)
