DANGER TO CHILDREN

OLD MAN REMANDED Described by Chief-Detective Hammond as a danger to children, an old man 73 years of age was remanded at the Police Court this morning for a week. The elderly offender was charged with an offence against a little girl aged seven years. The chief-detective explained that the offence was not particularly serious, but that the old man lived near a school, and should be sent to some institution. Accused was placed under the care of the Salvation Army in the meantime.
