LATE MR. W. E. RICHARDSON
FUNERAL AT BIRKENHEAD A large number of friends attended the funeral of the late Mr. W. E. Richardson, a former Mayor of Northcote, which took place on Saturday afternoon. The present Mayor of Northcote, Mr. A. E. Greenslade, who also represented the Waitemata Power Board, the town clerk, Mr. H. W. Wilson, and members of the Northcote Borough Council and its staff were present. Four ex-Mayors, Messrs. Herbert Cadness, George Fraser, J. B. Tonar and C. A. Deuxberry acted as the pallbearers, and the Rev. T. Halliday conducted the services at the house in Northcote and at the graveside at the Birkenhead cemetery.
