GREAT GREEK CONTRACT
IRRIGATION SCHEMES Times Cable. LONDON, Friday. It is understood that during the recent visit to England of the Premier of Greece, M. Venizelos, he placed a contract with a London firm for the reclamation and irrigation of large areas in Thessaly, Epirus, and other parts of Greece. The object is their conversion into agricultural land for the benefit of the 1,800,000 Greeks who were repatriated from Asia Minor. The survey work will occupy two years. The ultimate cost is estimated at £10,000,000.
