Alison, M.L.C., arrived from Wellington this morning by the Limited. jlr. T. T. Hugo, inspector of fire brigades, is visiting Auckland. He Is staying at the Star Hotel. sir Walter and Lady Stringer returned to Auckland this morning by the Limited after a visit to the South. Professor Riddet, of the Massey Agricultural College, arrived in Auckland this morning from Palmerston North. Mr. J. Hislop, formerly Under-Sec-retary of the Department of Internal Affairs, arrived from Wellington by the Limited this morning. Mr. A. W. Menzies, chairman of the Auckland Football Association, who has been visiting Wellington, returned to Auckland this morning. Mr. Justice Fraser, Mr. G. T. Booth and Mr. A. L. Monteith, members of the Arbitration Court, left by train for Wellington last evening. Mr. R. Blennerhassett, who has been attached to the staff of the Aramoho School.
