NEW DANCES AT HOME (Australian and N.Z . Press Association) Received 12.41 p.m. LONDON, Friday. T ONDON’S winter dances are officially stated to be little different from those of last year. They will largely by the quickstep, the Charleston and the slow foxtrot. The Jazz spirit still prevails, but it is not as all-conquering as a year ago. There are signs that the pendulum . will swing back toward romanticism. Among the new dances is the “Twist” (which greatly pleased the Prime Minister and Mrs. Baldwin when it was demonstrated at Aix-les-Bains), the Polka, the 1929 Varsity drag , and the “Tile-trot,”
