SAW-MILL SHUTS DOWN

INVERCARGILL, To-day. The Port Craig sawmill, which is controlled by the Marlborough Timber Company, of Christchurch, closed down indefinitely to-day. The mill employed a large number of hands and the tug Southland has been chartered to bring out the employees and their families. The cause of the closure is unknown at Invercargill.
