MID-CANTERBURY SEAT
HON. G. W. RUSSELL RETICENT (Special to THE SUN) WELLINGTON, Thursday. The Hon. G. W. Russell refused to commit himself to--day on the subject of the Mid-Canterbury seat. After hinting some months ago that he might enter the field as a Liberal candidate he has not yet made up his mind. “I have some important business which is detaining me in Wellington at the moment,” said the Hon. Mr. Russell. “When it is disposed of I shall be able to visit Canterbury, and until I see the state of things there I hall make no announcement. I e_.pt A to be in Christchurch in about a week’s t>’me to attend the 75th anniversary of SL Augustine’s Lodge.”
