TWENTY CHALETS BURIED VICTIMS UNNUMBERED {United P.A.—By Telegraph—-Copyright) (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) LONDON, Wednesday. A message from Berne, Switzerland, states that a great avalanche crashed into the Arbedo Valley from Monte Arbino. It was accompanied by a noise like that of thunder. Twenty chalets were buried beneath the falling rocks. The number of victims is not known. Many of the inhabitants of the villages had departed recently as a result of warnings received.
