PERSONAL—Captain Duncan McDonald, master of the Island steamer Tofua, is on holiday leave and will leave Auckland this \ieek fog Igunedin:

Captain E. J'. C. Gibson is resuming command of the Kakariki at Sydney, relieving Captain M. Lchenzie. Th 9 latter oflicer is transferring to the Koranui, relieving Captain J. L, Brisco for his holidays.

Captain J. G. Watson has relieved Captain A. R. Stewart as master of the Kai—manawa. The latter officer is taking holidays at Atnkland. Captain W. .Whitefield, who has been on holidays at Auckland, is at present awaiting; ogders__at“ this po'rt.

OIL FROM SAN PEDRO.—The oiltanker Voco is due at Auckland about November 6 from San Pedro with a. cargo of oil for the Vacuum Oil Company. The vessel will discharge at Auckland, “'ellington. Lyttelton and Dunedin.

WAIPAHI SAILS TO-MORROW.—-—At 3 o'clock to-morrow afternoon the local ofiice of the Union Company hopes to dispatch the Island fruit steamer VVaipahi from Auckland for Suva, where she will load for this port. KAIWARRA ARRIVING.—Due at Auckland at 1.30 o’clock this afternoon from "W'estport, the Union Company‘s collier Kaiwarra will berth at the “festern Wharf to discharge her coal. after which she will proceed to Newcastle for loading. SYDNEY STEAMERS.—The Ulimaroa. leaves Auckland at 11 o‘clock to—morrow rooming for Sydney and the Llaheno and the Marama leave Sydney to-morrow at noon and 3 p.m. respectively for V'Vellington and Auckland. All the three vessels are due at their arrival ports next Tuesday morning. WIRRAL LEAVES MONTREAL.——A cable mesage to the New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Wirral left Montreal on Sunday with general cargo to discharge at Auckland, XVellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. The vessel is due at Auckland on November 12.

MATAKANA LEAVES LIVERPOOL:— A cable message received by the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company reports that the .\latakana sailed from Liverpool last Saturday afternoon with general cargo to discharge at Auckland, VVeliington. Lyttelton and Dunedin. The vessel is due at Auckland on November 6.

PORT DUNEDIN SAlLs.—Late last evening the C. and D. Line‘s motor—ship Port Dunedin left Auckland for New Plymouth, thence Wellington, to fill up for Home. She is expected to clear \Vellington finally on October 13 for London. via Panama.

KARAMEA LEAVES PANAMA.— Cabled news has been received by the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company that the Karanmea. left Panama. on Sunday afternoon, en route from London to Auck—land and XVellington. The vessel is due at Auckland on October 19, and at \Vellington a.i week later.

VESTVARD SAILING.—TO put out the remainder of her cargo of case oil from Port Arthur, Texas, the Norwegian motor-ship, Vestvard is to be dispatched from Auckland this evening for Napier, New Plymouth. V‘Vellington. Beauty Point, Fremantle and Melbourne.

WESTMORELAND AT WELLING-TON.-——The local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company has been advised that the Federal steamer Westmoreland arrived at \Vellington this morning from Lytte-Iton and leaves next Tuesday for Auckland, Where she completes her loading and finally departs on October 18 for London, via. Panama.
