MOUNT ROSKILL AFFAIRS—Mr. E. F. Jones, chairman of the Mount Roskill Road Board, seconded a motion last evening that the board should support on its staff only those who were ratepayers. The motion was defeated, and the engineer was authorised to use his discretion in retrenching.
