POSITION OF DIVISION D Replying to the Auckland Education Board’s renewed application that Division D students should be admitted to the Training College, the department states that it is not prepared to admit young people who are attempting to effect entrance to the teaching profession through Grade D schools. The department, however, would be
prepared to look favourably upon an application for admission under Division D of uncertiflcated teachers who had spent, say, two years in ft Grade I. school, and who were specially recommended by the inspector and tn board. The board received the letter.
