AIRMEN PAY SURPRISE VISIT TO CHRISTCHURCH
Press Association ly** Press Association CHRISTCHURCH. To-day. Christchurch was taken altogether by surprise when the Tasman flyers with Captains Buckley and Findlay and k. Palmer, as passengers, arrived from Blenheim this morning. The visit was an unofficial one, Squadron-Leader Smith stated on landing that he intended leaving for Blenheim again at 2.30 p.m. FlightLieutenant XJlm was not certain of his movements. In the event of his staying in the city to-night he will leave for Blenheim not later than to-morrow afternoon. The purpose of the visit to Christchurch was to obtain some equipment for the Southern Cross.
