A COMMON SICKNESS
EATING BRAN FOR HEALTH The commonest sickness, the most prevalent one, is constipation. It might not be a steady sickness with ail people, but practically everyone suffers from it at some time or other. And the reason is that they are not careful about eating. They eat foods that do not contain the bulk that is so necessary to clean out the waste £jrom the system. And this unhealthy condition is reflected in many ways—in every' branch of the daily routine. A person becomes tired more quickly, does less work; their faces are not clear, and their eyes are not as lively as they should be. And when such a thing occurs, it is the usual custom to turn to patent remedies, which, frequently too strong in their operation, should not be taken without a doctor’s prescription. They have a bad effect on the body, and cause the cultivation of harmful habits. In most cases it is simply a neglect of diet, a lack of the bulk that should be eaten every’ day% regularly'. Bran is what millions of people throughout America eat in order to secure the bulk that their systems require. Bran is tasty, more delicious than any other cereal usually' eaten, and at the same time will put one on the road to good health.—2.
