THAMES RACE TRAFFIC.—The Northern Company advises that the Rangitoto will be dispatched from Thames at 10 p.m. on Friday for Auckland, to suit Ellerslie racegoers. LAMB STEAMER OMANA.—-The R.S. Lamb steamer Omana is due at Auckland on Friday from the East Coast. She commences loading at this port for Australia.
CANADIAN TRANSPORTER SAILS!— After completing loading operations at King’s Wharf yesterday, the Canadian National Steamships steamer, Canadian Transporter, sailed shortly after 7 o’clock last evening for Montreal, via New York and Boston.
KAIWARRA LEAVES WESTPORT.— The local office of the Union Company has been advised that the collier Kaiwarra left Westport at 11 p.m. yesterday for Auckland, where she is due on Thursday. After discharge, the vessel proceeds to Newcastle to load for this port. VESTVARD SAILING.—To complete the discharge of her case oil cargo, the Norwegian motor-ship Vestvard is to be dispatched from Auckland to-morrow evening for Napier, New Plymouth, Wellington, Beauty Point, Fremantle and Melbourne. The vessel is putting out the local portion of her cargo at Western 'Wharf to the agency of Messrs. Robert Millar and Company. WAIKAWA DUE TO-MORROW.—The local office of the Union Company expects the trans-Pacific cargo steamer Waikawa to arrive in the stream at Auckland at 5.30 a.m. to-morrow from the Pacific Coast ports, via Apia, Samoa. She will later berth at the Prince’s Wharf to unload the local portion of her cargo before proceeding to Nelson, Bluff, Melbourne and Sydney to complete. TOFUA RETURNS.—ShortIy after 1 o'clock yesterday afternoon, the Union Company’s Island passenger steamer Tofua returned to Auckland from the Western Pacific Islands and berthed at the Queen’s Wharf to land her passengers, mails, and cargo. The vessel experienced generally fair weather at the Islands, but after leaving Suva for Auckland strong south-east winds and a high, southerly swell delayed her progress considerably. After mid-day on Sunday the conditions improved and better speed was made to port. After completion of discharge, the Tofua will be laid up for overhaul and survey. She is to be dispatched on her next trip to the Islands on November. 3. During the time she is out of commission the company’s steamer Waipahi will be engaged in the Fiji fruit trade.

NIAGARA FOR SYDNEY.—Due at Auckland next Monday from Vancouver, via way ports, the local office of the Union Company expects the R.M.S. Niagara to lcv-ve here at 11 o’clock the same evening for Sydney in continuation of her voyage. NORFOLK LEAVES LONDON. The Federal L ir\£ steamer Norfolk is reported to have sailed from on Sunday for Suva. Auckland, and Wellington. She is due at Auckland on November 7. MATAKANA LEAVES LIVERPOOL.— With general merchandise from West Coast ports of Great Britain, the Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Matakana left Liverpool for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin last Saturday. She is due at Auckland about November 5. THE GOLDEN BEAR.—Henderson and Macfarlane, Ltd., advises that the Oceanic and Oriental Navigation Company's steamer Golden Bear was scheduled to clear Los Angeles last Saturday with cargo from Pacific Coast parts for discharge at Auckland, Wellington and Lyttelton. She is due at Auckland on October 25.
THE BARON INCHCAPE. Scheduled to reach Auckland on October 9, the steamer Baron Inchcape is bringing cargo from Sydney (Cape Breton) and Montreal for discharge ah Auckland. Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is running under the auspices of the New Zealand Shipping Company’s Eastern-Can-adian service.
THE WESTMORELAND.—The Federal Line steamer Westmoreland reached Timaru from Bluff on Friday morning and sailed on Saturday for Lyttelton, Wellington and .Auckland to complete loading. The vessel is due at Auckland on October 12 and is to be dispatched for London via Panama six days later.
MARAMA AND MAHENO.-Tlie Marama, from Wellington, and the Maheno, from Auckland, arrived at Sydney at 5 a.m. and 7 a.m. to-day respectively. Both vessels leave the New South Wales port on Friday, the Marama at 3 p.m. for Auckland and the Maheno at noon for Wellington. They are due at their arrival ports next Tuesday morning.
WAIPAHI ARRIVES.—The Union Company’s Island fruit steamer Waipahi arrived in the stream at Auckland shortly before 11 o’clock this morning from the Cook Islands and was to berth later at the King s Wharf. The vessel left Rarotonga on Monday, September 24, and experienced fair weather for the run to Auckland. The Waipahi leaves Auckland on Friday for Suva, in- place of the Tofua, to load for this porL RUAHINE DUE: The New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Ruahine, with passengers, mail and cargo from London and Southampton, is due at Wellington on October 10. The vessel will unload at Wellington and Lytcelton and she will load for her homeward voyage at Lyttelton, Wellington and Auckland. She is scheduled to reacn Auckland on October 26 and to sail from this port for Southampton and London on November 10. EASTMOOR FROM MONTREAL.—The local office of the Cauadiin National Steamships has received advice that the chartered steamer Eastmoor t 5,812 tons, is loading at Montreal and is to sail for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin on October 10. Like the Canadian Conqueror, Canadian Winner, Canadian Explorer and Canadian Highlander, now en route to New Zealand, the Eastmoor will bring cargo at a flat rate of £1 a ton.
ULIMAROA FROM' SYDNEY.—The Huddart Parker’s Ulimaroa arrived in the stream at Auckland at 9 o’clock this morning and berthed later at the Queen’s Wharf to land her passengers, mails and cargo. The vessel left Sydney last Friday at noon and experienced a westerly swell with moderate variable winds for the run across the Tasman Sea.
