RIALTO AND REGENT, EPSOM
“THE BIG PARADE” * The principal attraction at the Rialto and Regent (Epsom) Theatres this evening is the monumental war picture, “The Big Parade,” starring the popular actor, John Gilbert. “The Big Parade” is a story of youth and war, of three young men swept from their peaceful homes into the vortex of the war fever. These three boys, of widely different social training and background, are thrown together in the ranks and by the time they reach Prance are firm friends. Their adventures, in the trenches and in billets, both dramatic and humorous, provide an exceptional hour of entertainment. John Gilbert, Karl Bane and Tom O’Brien are the three boys and Renee Adoree the French peasant girl. An excellent supporting programme has been arranged. Karl Bane and George K. Arthur will shortly be seen in a very hilarious comedy, “Betectives,” in which Marceline Bay also appears. This comedy, which is set in an atmosphere of mystery, thrills and romance, will bring gales of laughter wherever it is screened.
