NEW STATUS GRANTED

NEW ZEALAND ATHLETES Press Association WELLINGTON, Monday. At to-night’s meeting of the executive of the N.Z.A.A. information was received from the secretary of the International Amateur Athletic Association that separate representation, i.e., representation apart from the Australian! body, had been granted the association, the newt status taking effect from September 30, 1928. It was decided to send a letter to the Australian Amateur Athletic Association expressing pleasure at the happy working relations which had always existed between the two bodies, and regret at the severance- Every success would be wished the Australian association in its athletic future.
