CONVERSATIONS ON PAPER AUCKLANDER’S EXPERIENCES “I- found that travel by air was delightful. If there had been other regular services I would have travelled in that manner on every occasion. It is so speedy exhilarating." The speaker was Miss E. Simpson, an Aucklander, who has spent the past 18 months in an extensive tour of Europe and Northern Africa. She arrived by the Ulimaroa this morning. “I visited every country, except Russia," she told a Sun representative “The- air trip between London and Paris was delightful, and the service is very popular. The airplane I was in carried 14 passengers and no one was the slightest bit sick.” Miss Simpson added that the only inconvenience of air travel was the terrific roar of the motors, which precluded all thought of speech. Conversations with fellow travellers had to be written on paper. The planes were comfortable and comparatively roomy and the service was maintained with wonderful regularity, x
