APPLE DEMAND SLOW FAIR VEGETABLE SUPPLIES At to-day T s sales in the City Markets, the demand for apples was very slow, with the exception of good cookers. For these there was a fair inquiry. NO change lias taken place in the demand for other lines. The market is bare for repack bananas, and prices are high. Repack oranges are bringing good prices. Lettuce supplies are heavy and there are plentiful quantities of cabbage. There are good supplies of new potatoes, with a fair demand at reduced I rates. There is a keen demand for other lines of vegetables. They are in fair supply.
