The safest, cheapest, and most comfortable journey is by rail. Every possible precaution is taken by the people’s railways for the people’s safety. Race Trains TO FROM Ellerslie Racecourse will run as under:— Leave Auckland 10.20. 10.35, 11.6. 11.25 a.m.. 12.13. 1.9, and 2.5 p.m. each clay, also at 10.50, 1 1.52 a.m., and 12.40 p.m. on Saturday only, returning- at frequent intervals before and after last race. Special Have trains will not stop at Rerauera and Green Lane. Special train, stopping where required, will leave Papakura 9.40 a.m.. Manurewa 9.53, Papatoetoe 10.5. Otahuhu 10.13. arriving Racecourse 10.20 and Auckland 10.40 a.m. Connecting train leaves Onehunga at 10.13 a.m. On 6th October the usual 5.25 p.m. Auckland-Frankfon train will stop at Green Lane and Racecourse Siding to lirt passengers for Papakura and stations South thereof. The usual 5.44 p.m. Auckland-Papatoetoe train runs through to Panftan (Racecourse depart 6.3 p.m.l. and connects at Penrose with train for Onohung* On Bth October a special Train leaves Auckland fur Frankton 5.30 nm Racecourse 5.51, Drury 6.4 1. Glen Arton-Huntlv train leaves Glen Afton 7.15 a.m.. and connects with usual 8.5 a.m. iluntly-Auck-land train. Train leaves lluntly for Glen Afton 8.5 5 p.m. aTtcr arrival or train leaving Auckland 5.25 p.m.. Racecourse 5. SO p.m. Return train leaves Glen Afton for Huntly 9.55 p.in. AUCKLAND-WHANGAREI: On oth and Bth October usual 5.11 p.m. Satur- . day and 4.5 p.m. Monday Auckland-Whaogarei train leaves Auckland 5.58 p.m. Newmarket. 6.9. Henderson 7.2, Helensville 8.40. Maungaturoto 11.40 p.m.. Waiotira 12.40 a.m. (next day). Whangarci arrive 1.36 a .til FARES. HOLIDAY EXCURSION tickets, available Tor return until 9th October. 1928, will be issued to Racecourse Siding or Auckland from Frankton, Gicii Afton, Waiuku, Helensville. and intermediate stations on direct line of route on 6th October, and from Frankton, Waiuku. Helensville.- and intermediate stations on direct line of route on Bth October, by trains due to arrive Auckland not later than 12 noon (each day). These tickets will not be available by the Limited Main Trunk Express trains. Return tickets to Racecourse Siding, available on day or issue onlv. will Me issued on both days from Auckland and Newmarket. Fare. 1/6. Single tickets only will be issued from Racecourse Siding.
