MAN HELD FOR MURDER

FOUND IN GIPPSLAND BUSH MELBOURNE, To-day. William Carr, aged 25, was arrested after an exhaustive search in the Gippsland Bush, and was charged with murdering Margaret Williams at Wonthaggi. The Melbourne police on Friday received advice that Margaret Williams, aged 25, a single woman, was found dead in a house at Wonthaggi with her throat cut by a razor. The dead woman’s sister-in-law, Mrs. Williams, said the deceased and a man had lunch with her. Shortly after Mrs. Williams had left the room she heard screams, and on returning found her sister dead on the floor. Tlie man, who was a boarder in the house, had disappeared.
