SEAPLANE WRECKED

THREE AIRMEN PERISH HIT AN ELECTRIC CABLE (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) PARIS, Sunday. An Italian naval seaplane was returning from a search for the wrecked airship Italia in the Arctic when it encountered a storm as it was flying south of the Rhone, near Valence, France. The machine struck a high tension electric .cable and fell into the river. The rear cabin floated, and the two mechanics were rescued slightly injured. The cockpit sank, and two officers and a non-commissioned officer were found dead. They were either drowned or electrocuted.
