PAEROA ORPHANS’ CLUB

A meeting of the Paeroa Orphans’ I Club was held last week. The programme submitted was a nexcellent one. The chair was taken by Mr. H. Poland. lie said that the club was indebted to Bro. Slyfield for the appearance of Bro. Osborne from Dunedin, who possessed more than ordinary elocutionary powers. The club’s orchestra consisted of Bro. J. Rooney (piano*. T. Hartley (violin), W. Fraser (steel guitar) and E. A. Porritt (kettle drum). It gave ns an overture “Ramona.” followed by “Shine On, Harvest Moon.” Items wore also given by Bros. Hartley, Fraser. J. McDonald. S. Sadlier. P. Mills, Rev. Mr. Mitchell. Bros. P. Williams. L. Flatt. H. Poland. R. Jutson, E. V. Slyfield. A. T. Jones. F. G. Williams, A. F. Stcedman and E. Edwards.
