“DANCING VIENNA” AT BRITANNIA
“Dancing Vienna” is the title of the picture to be shown at the Britannia Theatre this evening. The leading player is the noted Continental actress, Lya Mara, who is seen as the modern and wilful daughter of an old aristocratic Viennese family. When she falls in love with an American youth who is a descendant of a poorer branch of the family, and appears as a jazz player at a cabaret, the astonishment of her family knows no bounds. “Something Always Happens,” starring Esther Ralston and Neil Hamilton, is the second feature. This is an amusing story of mysterious happenings in a haunted house. “Handle With Care,” a story by Anthony Caldeway, which is of the comedy drama type, has been selected by Jack L. Warner as the first starring vehicle for Irene Rich on Warner Bros, release schedule for 1928-29. The script is by Robert Lord, and Lloyd Bacon has been assigned the direction of the picture. Audrey Ferris plays chief support to the star, and other players who have joined the cast include William Collier Jr. and Claude Gillingwater, Anders Randolf and Jack Sanatro. Master Pictures will release.
