COUNCIL FACES £1,343 CIAIM A claim has been submitted to tke City Council for £1.250 damage* *® the result of a collision between * tramcar and a motor-car last MayAs a result of the accident the ebb® of Mr. E. Casey was badly injured and it became necessary to amputate one of her legs. The collission occurred at the corner of Fort and Queen Streets. Last evening the claim was put before the City Council and was referred to the city solicitor. The sum £1,200 was claimed as damages and £SO for doctor’s and nursing •*" penses A claim was also made by Cooke Co., Ltd., the amount being £92 l* B 7d, for damage to the car in the saffl e accident.
