TO CHEER THE SICK
HOSPITAL WIRELESS FUND TO-DAY’S APPEAL In the streets to-day collectors have opened the campaign to give the pleasures of radio tp every patient in the Auckland Hospital. Several wards have already been equipped and the appeal is to carry the installation to every part of the building, so that every man, woman and child will be cheered by the 'wireless. Stalls have been erected in the city and suburbs, the Mayoresses of suburban boroughs being in charge of the organisation in their respective districts. Mrs. Mary Dreaver is the central organiser of the campaign, which has the support of churches, lodges, social clubs, friendly societies, Rotarians, and commercial travellers, and all the prominent people in Auckland. To-morrow afternoon collections will be made during the football matches at Eden Park, Carlaw Park and Bland - ford Park, permission to do so having been obtained from the Union, the League and the Association.
