CHEMIST FOUND HANGED

DRIVEN MAD BY FIGURES LORD MELCHETT’S COUSIN LONDON, Sept. 19. Alfred William Mond, aged 27, a cousin of Lord Melchett, employed as a chemist on the staff of Lord Melchett’s Chemical Industries, Limited, was found hanging from a tree on his father’s estate at Storrington. Apparently Mond was normal when he participated in a dinner party, but his father said his son was overworked and did not want to return to the He told his father that the mass of figures he carried in his head was driving him mad. At the inquest a verdict of suicide was returned.
