Something new in car accidents lies in the experience of an oil-well driller who was speeding along the Old Trails highway east of Flagstaff, Arizona. One of his brakes, on a front wheel, was binding. The wheel caught fire from the friction, but the first knowledge the driver had of the. conflagration was when the spokes burned through, and when the axle had hit the ground.
