Air temperature at 9 a.m., 51 degrees. Temperature in shade yesterday: maximum, 63 degrees; minimum, 50 degrees; maximum temperature in sun, 122 degrees. Bright sunshine yesterday, 6 hours 55 minutes. Minimum temperature on grass, 45 degrees. • Direction of wind at 9 a.m., W. Velocity wind previous 24 hours, 344 miles. Rainfall during previous 24 hours, .49 inches. Rainfall to date this month. 6.45 inches. Average for September, 3.56 in.
