TWO COMEDIES AT ROYAL

“The Good-bye Kiss.” which will bo shown at the Royal Theatre, Kingsiand, this evening, is a nine-reel comedy-drama filled with love, laughter, heart throbs and thrills. It is one of Mack Sennett’s special productions. and is being released by First National Pictures. Sally, who lives in a small Long Island village, meets her friend Bill on the street, with a group gathered about an itinerant photographer. They aro in love, but have scarcely awakened to the fact. He is going to France, so they have their pictures taken together on a motor-cycle. “The Little Adventures.” the second feature, is another comedy. Vera Reynolds and Victor Varconi are the principal players. The world’s famous clown. Greek who recently had the degree of docto* bestowed upon him by the Budapest University, will be seen shortly in his first screen vehicle. “What For?” The entire story’ takes place in the countryside of France and in Paris. Some remarkable shots are shown of the gay city, where action and comedy are to be found going hand in hand. Grock is as well known in Europe. England, and America as Harry Lauder is known in this country. Grock has had a markable career. Twenty years he was tutor to the family of Cc Bethlepi, the present Prime Ministe Hungary, but the sawdust of the cus, and the footlights, were far tempting for him to remain ‘ a t any longer. Besides being a cl« comedian, he is a noted musician. r picture will be released by Cinema Films.
