CHRISTIAN ENDEAVOUR
ALUMNI FELLOWSHIP MEETS The third annual meeting and banquet of the Christian Endeavour Alumni Fellowship was held at the Beresford Street Congregational Church last evening, about 100 being present. The greater number were past Endeavourers representing the Evangelical Churches, and among them were some of the original founders of the Christian Endeavour movement in New Zealand. The Rev. Lionel Fletcher presided. The Rev. Lionel Fletcher, retiring president of the alumni, spoke regarding the advance of the movement throughout New Zealand, and the impetus which would come from the alumni fellowship. He also brought before the alumni the proposed visit of Miss Jenny Street, one of the foremost workers for the Endeavour movement in Great Britain. The election of officers for the coming year resulted as follows: President, Mr. T. Clark; secretary, Mrs. W. Cullen; vice-presidents. Messrs. R. S. Abel. H. B. Bristow, Rev. A. S. Wilson; committee, Mrs. Graham, Messrs. W. Cullen, J. Graham. Ernest Nicholls. G. Densem. Revs. A. S. Wilson, Lionel B. Fletcher and F. E. Leadley.
The annual consecration meeting was held in the church after the banquet, before the largest gathering assembled there since before the war. The Rev. A. S. Wilson welcomed the various secretaries and committees present. A greeting was extended also to Australian Endeavourers, wishing them every success in the forthcoming Australian Convention, which is to be held in Perth within the next few weeks. Miss W. Chamberlain then called the membership roll and representatives of the various affiliated societies answered. The presentation of Christian Endeavour examination diplomas was next proceeded with by the Rev. Mr. Fletcher. At the conclusion of the induction of the various officers. the newly-elected president, Mr. E. Densem. briefly returned thanks for his election and urged Endeavourers to exercise their talents in the various spheres of Christian work. The Rev. A. W. Bean also spoke and outlined the mighty work which the Christian Endeavour movement had to do. During the consecration service a solo [ was given by Miss - Lucy Cleveland,
